FAQs

I would like to try BJJ, do you provide a beginners offer?
For Adults, we provide regular beginner introductory courses that offer a starter Gi RRP £68.00 (uniform) and 4 weeks training (RRP £70.00). This beginner’s course is priced at £70.00. https://bjjinnorwich.co.uk/product/adult-introductory-course/
For Kids, we offer one week free, this is in the form of a £10 deposit which will be taken off your child’s first month membership.
I have trained in past and would like to get started again ?
For those who have trained previously, we offer a one week trial (starting on the Monday) for £10.00, enabling you to see if you like our Academy and approach training. Also, please feel free to watch some sessions if you like.
Why are there Junior and Youth classes and the ages overlap?
Jiu Jitsu is a full contact martial art, like other sports these are adapted for children to ensure additional safety measures. Part of this is having training partners of similar stature. We have therefore provided flexibility across the two programmes as children grow at different rates. Therefore they can be assigned accordingly so they get the best experience.
Do you provide family discounts?
Adult and child combination – POA
Two children – £65 per month
What BJJ Gi (uniform) do I need to buy?
You can purchase any suitable BJJ Gi that you wish, this enables you to find one in a style and budget that meets your needs.
If you are unsure, please ask.
Are there any hidden extras, such as ‘grading or belt test’ charges?
No, we do not charge for ‘grading’.
Throughout the year we hold promotion evenings for those who have shown personal development.
We occasionally have special seminars/workshops from high level and decorated Jiu Jitsu players which are optional to attend at an additional cost.
Do you offer pay as you go?
BJJ requires consistency and a commitment to personal development from yourself, the coach and training partners. With this commitment we can ensure a safe and effective learning environment, therefore a membership is required to train with us.
However, if you train grappling elsewhere consistently and want to visit for a one off session, here are the fees:
Visitor – £10.00
International & Black Belt Visitors – Free
