Kids Jiu Jitsu Classes

Built around the three facets of core (basic movements intrinsically linked to Jiu Jitsu), competency (rudimentary self-defence) and competition (preparing the junior for the competitive arena), this curriculum follows a structured graduation programme where focused, measurable and attainable goals are rewarded via a graded belt system.

BJJ Fundamentals

Designed solely for and perfect for ALL white belts.

Its aim is to give you the perfect start to Jiu Jitsu.

The framework to understand the game with close attention paid to survival, escaping and positioning in relation to both self-defence and sports aspects.

* This class is white belts only on Monday/Wednesday and open to all belts on a Tuesday.

Intermediate Jiu Jitsu

Aimed at all belts, with a view to create proficient and efficient Jiu Jitsoka across the broad spectrum of abilities. Seeks to further our BJJ Fundamentals classes with a view to developing all skill-based movements and refinement of technique.

*White belts can attend these sessions, just expect a faster pace.

No-Gi Fundamentals

Specialised class for individuals looking to develop a fundamental understanding of submission grappling (without the Gi).

Members Open Training

This is a members only session, providing a level of ownership to everyone’s development. Drill, spar or just engage at your own pace. This is on a Ad-Hoc basis.

No-Gi Focus (Wrestling/Leg Locks)

Every Thursday we will provide focused training on the essentials of NoGi Jiu Jitsu, each week we will build and refine our skills on a specific topic for a whole month (usually leg locks or wrestling).

Fundamental postures, movements and techniques but focused distinctly on how they translate in terms of application to No Gi submission wrestling.

Competition Class

Encouraging development through a range of drill, positional sparring, live competition scenarios and the nuances of scoring and strategy for competition. These sessions are suitable for members looking to advance their Jiu Jitsu from a competitive standpoint.

*If you don’t want to compete, these sessions are still suitable.

Kettlebells for BJJ

Incorporating multi-joint movements, balance, posterior chain recruitment and explosive movements: Kettlebells are an ideal tool to develop effective grappling strength. Led by Jim Clarke, who has a passion for strength training.

Open Mat

An opportunity for members and non-members to come together and ‘gamestorm’ Jiu Jitsu. The open mats provide a level of ownership to everyone’s development.

Drill, spar or just engage at your own pace – these sessions are open to anyone, regardless of team or affiliation. Drop-ins welcome at £10 pp.
